French Cheese & Wine Matching
It’s time to get to grips with French fromage and vin! At this tasting we will decode French wine and cheese and give you the keys to understanding why things that ‘grow together go together’!
The next time you go shopping for French wine or cheese you will understand the regions and how this effects the flavours you will encounter inside the bottle or on your plate. If you thought French cheese was mainly brie and camembert then prepared to be wowed by the amazing selection we will be sampling. We will be looking at soft, blue and pressed cheeses and see how they can be further divided into farmhouse and dairy based producers. Not only that we will look at the tradition of ‘appellation controlee’ as well as some of the more modern characteristics.
We'll taste wines made from some of the following Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Chenin Blanc.
