Italy is a nation that loves its food and accompanies it with many exciting wines. We will highlight the very best of Italy aiming to make it easier to understand and explore some well established principles of food and wine pairing as well as (aiming to crack the wine pairing code)!
Some of the best Italian wines and cheeses still come from the big three regions – Tuscany, Piedmont and Veneto where famous name wines such as Barolo, Amarone and Chianti are produced with cheese such as Pecorino, Gorgonzola and Tallegio.
However, as true gourmet snuffle-hunters we will also explore matches from places such as Abruzzo, Puglia and Sicily with less well know but equally awe inspiring cheese and wine.
